NPC Chairman John H. Dirzius and Vice-Chairman Mark V. Case present a check on behalf of the NPC to APWU Auxiliary President Doris Poland and members of the Executive Board at the 2008 National APWU Auxiliary Convention. A motion was made at the request of Chairman Dirzius at the Indy NPC meeting to donate $500.00 to the Auxiliary’s National Human Relations Project. “Safe Nest” is a protective shelter for men, women, and children located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Since 1977 the shelter has been responsible for providing a safe and nurturing living environment for hundreds of women, children, and men.
